Organizing committee unveils uniforms for Rio 2016 Games

Rio de Janeiro - The mascots of the Rio 2016 Olympics (Vinicius) and Paralympics (Tom) were at the uniform launch event
The Rio 2016 Olympics Organizing Committee has launched the uniforms that will be used by the Rio Olympics and Paralympics staff, known as Rio 2016 Team.
The uniforms will be worn by medical staff, referees, volunteers, organizing staff, and others. Two million items have been made for about 87,000 personnel.
Role areas will be identified by colors—green for spectator services, red for medical services, yellow for operations, and blue for referees, who may also use a more formal suit for certain events.
Carlos Arthur Nuzman, who chairs the Organizing Committee, said the colors will be a “live show of the energy of the Games, which is the vibe we want the world to feel, in a very laid-back atmosphere.” Rio 2016 Brand Director Beth Lula pointed out the adaptability and versatility were the main lines that went into making the uniforms. The fabrics let the skin breathe and feel cooler in the heat and warmer in cold weather.
A bag can change into a backpack, money bag, or purse, and the tros are easily converted into shorts. The trainers will be green for all staff, and cap brims will be colored to match the role areas.
